HMQS -- Birgit Schuller

The first thing I did when I arrived at HMQS in Salt Lake City was to go into the Bernina classroom and check it out. There was a class in session called "Triangle Fun", taught by Birgit Schuller, pictured above with one of her class projects. Birgit lives in Germany and was teaching this class as well as some longarm workshops at HMQS and then continuing to teach at the machine quilting show in Overland KS the next week.

Here are the samples for the workshop she taught in the Bernina classroom....

...and some of the students with their triangles on the wall.

Birgit is well known for her longarm quilting and confided to me that this was the first piecing class she had taught. From the reaction of the students, she'll be teaching a lot more of them! To see more of Birgit's work, click here to go to her website.

  1. That is very creative and beautiful! I admire some people's ability to be so creative and think outside the box!
